The day after we got the key of our new home on August 2nd 2007, Serge proposed to Yanbing during the evening at Lakefront Promenade Marina, located in one of the largest and most beautiful park developments on Lake Ontario. Built in 1991, the marina has first class docking and boating facilities and a licensed outdoor eatery.
Sitting on the pier Serge asked Yanbing to close her eyes as he opened the engagement ring's box in front of her. As Yanbing opened her eyes again, Serge said “Will you marry me, Xingaide”. As she said “ Yes”, Serge helped Yanbing wear her engagement ring but quickly realized that the ring's size was a bit too small! However, the ring fit on Yanbing's small finger which gave a sign of relief to Serge!
The ring was resized by the Jeweler two weeks later and from this day on, Serge will always know that Yanbing wears a size 6.5 ring!
